We are currently looking for an experienced Collections Officer to joinour Collections team based at Albert Street on a 12 month fixed term contract. The days of work for this vacancy are Tuesday to Saturday, with the first few weeks of training working Monday to Friday. Primary Role: You will be responsible for collections activity onthe Motor Vehicle Dealer ledger and will contribute to other team tasks asrequired. This is a telephone-based role. Accountabilities: Decrease the annual $value of provisions and write-off's througheffective management of all loan arrears. Decrease the size of UDC arrears portfolio through effectivecollections management and rehabilitation of customers. Customer: Appropriate and effective manner when dealing with customers(including internal customers) Contribution to managing team inbound phone queues andoutbound campaigns. Process: Appropriate and timely action taken on each account in default,including adequate levels of inbound/outbound calls and timely completion ofadmin duties. Maintain individual productivity levels, and qualitystandards. People: Contribute in a collaborative and positive manner withcolleagues to enable team objectives to be met. Risk/Compliance/Behaviour: Ensure all activities comply with UDC strategy, policies, processes,and standards and with external regulatory requirements. Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications: Previous collections or call centre experience is essential E xperience working with customers/clients who have difficulty in meeting payments and knowledge of CCCFA Hardship process are very desirable. Sound knowledge of Credit Contracts and Consumer FinanceAct 2003 (CCCFA), Privacy Act, Fair Trading Act, and other relevantlegislation. Excellent communication (verbal and written) andnegotiation skills. Is reliable, punctual, and capableof working in a high volume and fast paced environment while delivering highlevels of personal productivity. Ability to contribute to a close knit, hardworking team(total team of 15). Confident telephone manner.
