Based 5mins south of Rotorua, Red Stag Timber Ltd operates Waipa Mill, New Zealand's largest timber processing site, employing approx. 450 staff and contractors. We need an expert IT Manager with the ability to lead and manage Red Stag Timber's IT function, ensuring reliable, secure and cost-effective technology systems that support both corporate operations and production environments. The role is responsible for IT infrastructure, business systems, cybersecurity, IT / OT coordination, technology governance, vendor management, and continuous improvement, while supporting operational uptime, risk management and business performance. To be successful in this role, we require candidates who have the following skills and attributes: 5+ years of IT senior management experience, with at least 2 years senior IT role experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or utilities environment. Demonstrated experience with OT systems such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, or MES platforms. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure - networking, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, virtualisation, and cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with cybersecurity practices across both IT and OT environments. Proven ability to manage IT/OT projects from scoping through to delivery. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills - able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to staff at all levelsacross the organisation In addition, the following qualification and experience would be desirable: A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with ERP systems (ideally Timbersmart). Experience with IT/OT network segmentation and the Purdue Model or IEC 62443 architecture. Previous role knowledge of how technology enables operational excellence. Applicants must be based in New Zealand and have full NZ residency. This is a site based role working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, with some flexibility required during busy periods . #J-18808-Ljbffr
