About the Roles We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Dietetics Practice Supervisor to lead our team of enthusiastic and passionate Dietitians within the Community Allied Health Team. We are open to appointing between 0.8FTE and 1 FTE (full-time equivalent) for this role. Based across Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Pt Chevalier Clinical hub), this diverse and rewarding role combines professional and people leadership, service development and quality improvement, with ongoing clinical practice. The Practice Supervisor role carries a clinical caseload and provides operational and clinical leadership to the Community Dietetics team. They demonstrate effective clinical reasoning and model senior-level, evidence-informed practice, teaching, and the application of appropriate educational skills. They are involved in planning and evaluating service provision, and support student training. They will also lead, innovate and drive forward policies, procedures and nutritional care pathways in the area of community nutritional support. The Dietetics Practice Supervisor role will have the collegial support of the other Allied Health Practice Supervisors in Adult Community Services, and support from your Service Lead, Allied Health Clinical and Quality Lead and your Professional Lead. About the Team/Service/Location Our Community Dietetics team work across two sites; Greenlane Clinical Centre and Kahui Marino (Point Chevalier). There are regular opportunities to come together as a team for in-service trainings and team meetings. Our Dietitians are committed to the holistic delivery of health services within the Te Toka Tumai Auckland community. We offer dietetic advice and support to clients with a range of medical conditions including home enteral nutrition, malnutrition, dysphagia, oncology, wound healing, obesity with co-morbidities and irritable bowel syndrome. Services are provided in both the clinic and home settings. About You As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes: NZ Registered Dietitian with a current APC Full drivers licence Minimum of 7 years clinical experience in dietetics, preferably in community practice Looking for an opportunity to develop or expand their leadership skills Have an understanding of current issues related to the delivery of community-based care Have experience in working in a multidisciplinary team Have experience in the provision of professional supervision Has effective clinical reasoning skills and values evidence-based practice For more information about this role please contact Routhelle Gaerlan (Interim Allied Health Service Lead) on [email protected].
