Leading our national Property Services function, you will provide strategic oversight of property planning, leasing, governance, asset optimisation and fleet services. Partnering closely with Regional Site Operations Managers, you will ensure nationally consistent property management practices while enabling regional teams to deliver safe, effective and efficient site operations. Kōrero mŋ te t\u016uranga | About the role You will lead the strategy, governance and optimisation of BSI’s national property portfolio, ensuring our land and property assets are well utilised and continue to support exceptional science. Your focus will include developing national property strategy, overseeing leasing and property advisory services, providing strategic advice on asset planning, utilisation, acquisitions and disposals, and driving continuous improvement across the portfolio. You will lead the National Fleet Manager and Lease & Property Advisor, contribute to major investment decisions and business cases, and partner with Regional Site Operations Managers to balance national consistency with regional operational needs. As BSI continues to evolve, you will play a key role in shaping the future of one of New Zealand’s largest and most diverse science property portfolios, creating the environments and infrastructure that enable world-class science to thrive. The role can be based at any of our main sites of Auckland, Ruakura (Hamilton), Rotorua, Palmerston North, and Lincoln. Ñ puanawa | About you You are an experienced property leader with a track record of managing complex, multi-site property portfolios. You combine strategic thinking with commercial acumen and are confident influencing investment decisions, leading high-performing teams and building trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group. You Will Bring Experience In Developing and implementing property and asset management strategies. Managing large property portfolios, including leasing, acquisitions, disposals and optimisation. Providing strategic property advice and governance. Leading property projects, budgets and business cases. Leading teams through change while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensuring compliance with relevant property legislation and health and safety requirements. You’ll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in property, facilities management, real estate, business or a related discipline, or bring equivalent experience.
