Great development opportunity Make a difference in your community Build transferrable leadership skills About The Role Are you ready to step up in your lifeguarding career and lead a Summer Pool facility in Lower Hutt? We're looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and well-organised individuals to supervise our Summer Pool operations for the 2026/27 season, starting around 26 October 2026 to 26 March 2027 (dates may vary slightly). This summer, we're not only opening our pools - we're creating a Summer of Fun. You'll have the opportunity to lead one of our summer pools (Wainuiomata Pool, McKenzie Baths, and Eastbourne Pool) and help deliver community events across our aquatic network. About You You're a confident leader who thrives in a team environment and believes in community-led development. You're passionate about continuous improvement and can communicate ideas clearly and respectfully to a range of stakeholders. To Be Considered, You'll Need A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate A valid First Aid Certificate A cover letter outlining your lifeguarding experience and the strengths you'd bring to this role You’ll inspire your team with a shared vision for our community and facilities, and work collaboratively with Council colleagues, management, external organisations, and community groups. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced lifeguard ready to take on a more varied role involving people leadership and facility supervision.
