A Senior Media Director at 36 plays a crucial role in devising and executing implementation strategies, primarily concentrating on biddable media channels including Social, Search, Video, Programmatic, and pDOOH. This position involves a collaborative partnership with the Ad Operations teams to ensure an exceptional client experience, underpinned by a steadfast focus on achieving campaign Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The Senior Media Director will be responsible for managing day to day relationships with 36’s clients, ensuring the KPIs are met. As a media leader, you must have a strong understanding of Programmatic, Paid Search, and social platforms, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. An elevated level of creativity and taking initiative is required: Execution of Day-to-Day Tasks Proactively optimise campaigns with Ad Ops based on performance metrics analysis to enhance outcomes. Utilise data trends to inform optimisation strategies. Oversee the campaign calendar, asset trafficking, screenshots, billing, and associated pre/post-launch activities. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute within a fast-paced team environment. Develop digital campaign strategies across major biddable platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snap, DOOH) and non-biddable (e.g.: TVNZ, Radio) Collaborate with 3rd party Agency Programmatic partners for campaign execution. Monitor digital campaigns diligently to meet KPIs and objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Assume responsibility for comprehensive research to fully understand campaign-related products, services, or promotions. Stay informed about the status of all active campaigns. Guarantee the highest standard of work with exceptional attention to detail. Work independently with little/no guidance, take full ownership of your projects while WFH. Always project a positive and can-do attitude keeping all relevant stakeholders informed. Meet agreed deadlines and ensure all client expectations are met, if not exceeded. Ensure all written and verbal communication both internally and externally are positive and clear via the CRM. Ensure timely communication of relevant campaign updates to all stakeholders. Maintain composure under pressure, demonstrating the ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic work environment. Exhibit effective time management and prioritisation skills, ensuring punctuality and preparation for meetings. Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key client decision-makers across both strategic and operational levels. Continuously assess client feedback to guarantee satisfaction and address any concerns. Adhere to internal protocols to uphold quality standards and meet client expectations. Media Management Excel in campaign management by advising clients on effective media strategies, crafting inspiring briefs for impactful media solutions, and actively collaborating with the Sales Team to pitch and develop business ideas. Assist the Sales Team in creating campaign proposals with defined deliverables, accurate budgets, and realistic timelines. Client Management: Lead client meetings and conference calls to gather new campaign briefs, understanding and addressing client needs effectively. Oversee the development and execution of media campaigns from inception to achieving ROI, ensuring high-quality management, timely delivery, and consistent results. Adhere to all internal processes to maintain quality standards and meet client expectations. Skills, Competence, and Experience: Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in media planning and buying. Demonstrate a digital-first thinking approach, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client experiences and services. Show enthusiasm for marketing, particularly digital marketing. Have knowledge of implementing marketing programs across the Martech stack, including Data & Analytics. Experience in the Digital Media space across paid, owned and earned, with specific capabilities in developing strategic plans to support such activities.
