Company Description Totally Psyched! is a specialist mental health practice focused on supporting children, teens, young adults, and their families through evidence-based assessment and therapy. The team is made up of warm, experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Counsellors who work collaboratively to understand what is happening and get things back on track. Services cover a broad range of needs, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, autistic spectrum conditions, neuropsychological assessment, and emotional regulation difficulties. The practice emphasizes compassionate, professional care aimed at helping young people and their families build lives they value and enjoy. Role Description The Psychologist is a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland, providing psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments, developing and delivering individual and group treatment plans, and documenting clinical notes in line with professional standards. The role involves working closely with psychiatrists, counsellors, and other team members to coordinate care, as well as communicating clearly and respectfully with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in a young person’s support network. The Psychologist will also contribute to parent education, skills groups, and best-practice development within the clinic. Qualifications Clinical expertise in child and adolescent psychology, including assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, autistic spectrum conditions, and emotional regulation challenges. Strong skills in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, case formulation, and development of evidence-based treatment plans. Proficiency in delivering individual therapy, group interventions, and parent education using modalities such as CBT, DBT-informed approaches, and other relevant therapies. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Relevant postgraduate qualification in Psychology, with clinical or counseling registration (or eligibility for registration) with an appropriate professional body. Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and ongoing professional development.
