At our Lorneville Plant in Invercargill, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Registered Electrician to join a high-performing engineering team within a large-scale industrial environment. We're searching for a current NZ Registered Electrician with proven commercial electrical experience to join our team. This is a hands-on shift-based role supporting a fast-paced production environment where your contribution directly impacts plant reliability, productivity and operational success. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow beyond the tools alone - someone motivated to expand their capability, challenge themselves, and build a long-term career within a large-scale industrial environment. This is a full-time permanent role. The duties of the role will include: Fault finding and breakdown response across plant and equipment Preventative and planned maintenance Working with PLC controlled systems, automation and instrumentation Maintaining conveyors, VSD controlled motors and refrigerated systems Supporting vacuum packaging equipment and other site electrical systems Supporting plant upgrades and capital projects Entering and managing jobs within a computerised maintenance system Following electrical drawings and technical plans where required Ensuring compliance with NZ electrical regulations and site safety standards Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site About You To Be Successful In This Role You Will Hold a relevant electrical trade qualification (minimum NZQF Level 4 or equivalent) and current EWRB registration with a valid practising licence Have a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience in industrial, manufacturing, processing, FMCG or similar maintenance environments Demonstrate strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability Be able to read and interpret engineering and electrical drawings Have experience with PLC, SCADA or related control systems (advantageous) Have knowledge of VSDs, instrumentation and process control systems Bring strong analytical, communication, time management and organisational skills Demonstrate ownership, accountability and a commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement Work effectively both independently and as part of a team Be available to work weekends as part of a rotating roster A minimum NZQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent recognised by EWRB) is required.
