Make an impact across merchandise and systems Turn data into better commercial decisions Work across two iconic New Zealand brands Are you an experienced merchandise planner with strong systems, testing and commercial capability? We’re looking for a Merchandise Systems Platform Planner to join our Support Office team. This role combines merchandise planning with ownership of release assurance, regression testing and change governance for our merchandise planning platform. You’ll help ensure system changes are safe, controlled and aligned with business needs, while managing a merchandise planning portfolio and supporting sales, margin and inventory targets. Key Responsibilities Own release assurance, regression testing and test documentation across the merchandise planning platform. Assess releases for trading and operational risk, recommending approval, deferral or escalation. Coordinate feature, end-to-end and user acceptance testing. Manage defects and change requests through triage, prioritisation and resolution. Work with Merchandise, Data, Project teams and external software vendors on releases and production support. Monitor post-release performance and maintain reliable testing and deputy coverage. Build merchandise forecasts, budgets, open-to-buy and category plans. Analyse sales, demand and inventory risks to support buying decisions. Support assortment planning, promotions, markdowns, allocations and replenishment. Identify opportunities to improve merchandise systems, processes and ways of working. About You Five or more years’ merchandise planning experience. Strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, open-to-buy and inventory management. Experience testing complex business systems, including end-to-end and user acceptance testing. Experience managing defects, change requests and production impacts. Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capability. Experience working with cross-functional teams and external software vendors. Experience with Impact Analytics or a similar merchandise planning platform, release management or change delivery would be an advantage.
