Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Health & Safety Coordinator to join our project team on a full-time, site-based basis supporting the delivery of a utility-scale renewable energy project in New Zealand. Based at our Glorit project site, this opportunity is suited to candidates local to the area or able to commute to site daily, as accommodation is not provided. This is a key project support role responsible for coordinating day-to-day health and safety activities, maintaining compliance systems, supporting workforce engagement, and ensuring effective safety processes are embedded across the project. Working closely with the Site Health & Safety Manager, Construction Manager, delivery teams and external stakeholders, you will play an important role in maintaining a strong safety culture and supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day site health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with New Zealand legislation, client requirements, and INTEC HSEQ standards. Maintain H&S documentation, registers, reporting systems, inspections, audits, and compliance records. Support contractor management including onboarding, inductions, competency checks, permits, and safe work documentation. Assist with incident response, investigations, corrective actions, and safety performance reporting. Facilitate site safety engagement including pre-starts, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety culture initiatives. Work closely with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders to identify risks and continuously improve safety performance. About You Proven experience in a site-based Health & Safety Coordinator or Administrator role within construction, infrastructure, civil, electrical, or renewable energy projects. Current Driver's License Strong understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation, WorkSafe requirements, and construction safety practices. Experience managing contractor H&S requirements, inductions, permits, and safe work documentation. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment. Confident communicator with the ability to engage positively with workers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Experience using HSEQ systems such as HammerTech, Procore, SharePoint, or similar platforms is preferred. Why Join INTEC?
