Junior Project Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer to support the delivery of planned footpath renewals and other infrastructure projects across our network. About The Role Reporting to the Project Engineer (Planned Footpaths), you will assist with the planning, programming, coordination and delivery of civil maintenance and renewal projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging engineer looking to build project management experience within a collaborative and safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Support project inspections, scoping and investigations to ensure successful project delivery Assist with project planning, scheduling, reporting and programme development Monitor project performance, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies Provide technical support and work collaboratively with operational teams Build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence Champion Ventia's Safe for Life philosophy and comply with all SHEQ requirements About You Diploma in Civil Engineering Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence Demonstrated experience or exposure to project management, planning and scheduling Good understanding of NZS3910/NZS3917 contracts Ability to interpret engineering plans, drawings and specifications Strong communication, numeracy and problem-solving skills A proactive team player aligned with Ventia's values of Integrity, Collaboration, Challenge and Ingenuity Why Ventia?
