We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Retail Store Manager to lead our Westfield Albany kiosk and deliver an exceptional brand experience for our customers. Position Summary The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of the BODUM kiosk at Westfield Albany. This role will lead sales growth, day to day management of the team and rosters, manage inventory, provide outstanding customer service, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure the kiosk always operates efficiently and professionally. Starting end August, you'll play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and developing your team ahead of launch, ensuring the kiosk opens with enthusiasm, strong operational foundations, and an exceptional customer experience from day one. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for retail, a customer-first mindset, and pride in representing a premium global brand. They will thrive in a customer-facing environment, enjoy building strong customer relationships, and be confident working independently within a kiosk retail setting. Location: Westfield Albany, Auckland Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (including weekends, public holidays, and late-night trading as required) Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable shopping experiences. Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets. Demonstrate product knowledge across the BODUM range, including coffee brewing methods and accessories. Educate customers on product features, benefits, and usage. Identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling and upselling. Store Operations Manage the day-to-day operation of the kiosk. Ensure the kiosk is always presented to the highest standard. Open and close the kiosk in accordance with company procedures. Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system. Maintain stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements. Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Leadership & Team Management Lead, motivate, and support retail team members. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff. Prepare and manage staff rosters. Foster a positive, high-performing team culture. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Ensure products are displayed attractively and stocked appropriately. Execute promotional campaigns and seasonal displays. Reporting & Administration Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports as required. Monitor store performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Report stock issues, customer feedback, and operational concerns to the NZ Sales Manager. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years’ retail management or supervisory experience. Proven track record of achieving sales targets. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience managing stock and inventory. Ability to work independently and take ownership of store performance. Strong organisational and time management skills. Basic computer literacy and POS experience. Preferred Experience within premium retail, homewares, kitchenware, coffee, or lifestyle brands. Barista or coffee product knowledge is advantageous but not essential. Personal Attributes Has a positive, proactive attitude. Leads by example.
