Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch based Permanent role + 5 weeks' annual leave and insurance benefits As Assistant Project Manager, you will help drive the successful delivery of Kāinga Ora’s national retrofit programme by creating momentum, guiding collaboration and influencing outcomes across multidisciplinary teams. Leading through influence, you will build strong relationships, communicate clearly and take personal accountability, bringing people together around shared priorities and constructively addressing issues that could affect delivery. You will support projects from planning through to handover, strengthen coordination between teams and partners, and champion simpler, more consistent ways of working. Your contribution will help embed transformational change across the new Retrofit Directorate and deliver warmer, safer and more sustainable homes for communities. This role is part of a highly focused team that work together in our office during set hours Monday to Friday. Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will Bring You will demonstrate a collaborative, delivery-focused approach, with the confidence to lead through influence, build alignment across teams and keep projects moving. Here’s What You’ll Bring To The Role Meets the skills and attributes required to work in an Agile open team-based environment One to two years’ experience managing multiple construction tasks and projects concurrently. Holding or working towards recognised Project Management certification, e.g. PMP/Prince2, would be beneficial. Demonstrate experience in contract management and negotiation. 3915 experience advantageous. Sound basic understanding of NZS3604 Building Standards, and the ability to contribute to the identification of effective solutions to construction related issues that achieve Kainga Ora objectives.
