Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity This is a key leadership role within Kāinga Ora's Housing Delivery System, established as part of the permanent integration of the Apartments function into Housing Delivery. You'll lead and influence the delivery of some of New Zealand's most complex medium and high-density housing projects, providing programme oversight, technical leadership and delivery assurance across multiple projects and build partners. Working across both pre-construction and construction, you'll help shape project outcomes from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, efficient, commercially sound and aligned to strategic priorities. Beyond project delivery, you'll play a key role in driving transformational change, embedding new ways of working, strengthening delivery capability, mentoring project teams, and championing a culture of continuous improvement that supports a high-performing, future-focused housing delivery system. This role is part of a highly focused team that work together in either our Newmarket or Addington office during set hours Monday to Friday. Here’s What You’ll Bring To The Role Providing programme management, technical leadership, and governance oversight across multiple projects to support successful delivery outcomes Supporting the pre-construction phase through expert advice on technical design, constructability, and project governance, ensuring projects are well-positioned for delivery through to building consent and handover Providing delivery assurance during the construction phase to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to agreed quality and compliance standards Overseeing programme activities of build partners to ensure delivery aligns with Kāinga Ora strategic objectives, programme requirements, and budget parameters Building capability by providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to Programme and Project Managers, including supporting contract administration and complex issue resolution Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you?
