Job Description
Our Macraes exploration team are on the hunt for a Container Processing Technician. The main task of this position will be to remove sand from sample containers. Working a 5 day on, 2 day off, 4 day on, 3 day off, 7:00am - 4:30pm roster, this is an opportunity to join New Zealand's largest gold mine.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work independently to process sample containers
- Maintain the Macraes core shed storage facilities, stores and equipment in good order
- Carry out all sample storage and retrieval activities
- Comply with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures
- Carry out all other duties that may reasonably be required
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review of procedures when required
Qualifications
- Full and current drivers licence required, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
- Ability to work unsupervised completing repetitive tasks
- Basic level of computer competency
- Forklift licence is beneficial
- Current NZ Work Visa is required for this role
