Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Business Group Leader - Property & Buildings to join our team in either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch.
This is a key leadership role within our New Zealand business where you will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning architecture, landscape architecture, interiors, structural engineering and building services engineering, while driving business growth, strengthening client relationships and supporting the successful delivery of projects across the built environment sector.
Working closely with our regional and national leadership teams, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business, developing our people and expanding GHD's presence across the Property & Buildings market in New Zealand.
As part of a collaborative and supportive team, this role offers variety and will see you involved in:
- Leading the performance, people, resources and commercial outcomes of the Property & Buildings business group.
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with public and private sector clients, industry partners and key stakeholders, particularly across the education, health, industrial, justice/corrections and defence sectors.
- Driving business growth through client engagement, strategic relationship management and work winning activities.
- Leading and developing multidisciplinary teams across architecture, landscape architecture, interiors, structural engineering and building services engineering.
- Working collaboratively with Business Group Leaders, Market Leaders and technical specialists to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
What would you bring to the team?
- A degree in Architecture, Engineering (or a related discipline), supported by extensive experience leading a consulting, architecture, engineering or multidisciplinary Property & Buildings team.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of business development, client relationship management and work winning.
- Demonstrated experience leading people through growth, change and business transformation.
- A strong network and reputation within the New Zealand Property & Buildings market is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
This role can be based in our Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch offices.
