We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our friendly and high-performing team.
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dental Assistant to become part of a collaborative and patient-focused practice. This position is available as a replacement for a valued team member who has chosen not to return following parental leave, with a flexible start date in September or October 2026.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our clinicians to provide outstanding patient care. You'll assist chairside during a variety of dental procedures, maintain high infection control standards, manage instrument sterilisation, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Working Hours
- Monday: 8:45am - 2:30pm (30-minute lunch)
- Tuesday: 9:15am - 6:30pm (30-minute lunch)
- Wednesday: 9:15am - 6:30pm (30-minute lunch)
- Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (essential)
- Experience using Exact Dental Software (preferred)
- A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Flexibility and a willingness to support the wider team when needed
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid New Zealand work rights
