Kindo is entering an exciting new phase of growth following a recent $15M Series A. Already trusted by schools and families across New Zealand, Kindo has strong product-market fit, a meaningful mission, and a major opportunity ahead. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll lead a squad and own a meaningful slice of the Kindo experience end to end. This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll spend more time in solution discovery than delivery ceremony, bringing real customer signal and data to every decision. Kindo is hiring across three squads, and you only need to be a great fit for one. The three squads: Marketplace: owns the buying experience across caregivers, students, and vendors, from browsing and checkout through to vendor dashboards and order management, with a focus on growing discretionary spend Family Experience: owns the family-facing app across iOS, Android, and web, including payments, permissions, calendar, notifications, and the family hub, with a focus on retention and everyday usefulness Financial Systems: owns the billing and settlement platform behind it all, including payments, ledgers, reconciliations, payouts, the Xero integration, and the pricing engine the other squads build on Why this role stands out: Genuine end to end ownership of a squad and its outcomes A direct line to the Chief Product Officer as a true thought partner Build products with visible, everyday impact for families, students, and schools A modern, AI-forward toolset including Claude, Dovetail, Figma, Jira, Notion, and Google Analytics ESOP on offer What you'll be doing: Own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for your squad Run continuous discovery with caregivers, students, schools, and vendors Turn customer insight and data into a clear, well-prioritised roadmapMake deliberate trade-offs between speed, quality, and commercial impact Work closely with engineering and design to ship and iterate Connect product decisions to commercial outcomes and measure what ships Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance Help raise the bar across the wider product practice What we're looking for: 5+ years as a Product Manager on a software product with real users and real commercial pressure A track record of leading squads, sharpening focus, and lifting the standard of those around you A strong discovery muscle, shipping product built on real customer insight rather than stakeholder requests Genuinely data-driven, comfortable in analytics tools and SQL, and able to connect data to commercial outcomes Hands-on experience using AI tools like Claude to work faster and sharper across the product loop A squad-specific edge in two-sided marketplace or e-commerce, consumer mobile at scale, or billing, payments, and fintech platforms Bonus points for EdTech, FinTech, or NZ/AU consumer SaaS, and for working in a Series A to Series B scale-up This is a business where the work shows up in real life, helping families manage school life more easily, helping schools reduce admin burden, and improving access for students.
