We are seeking an experienced Senior Guidewire Developer - PolicyCenter to play a critical role in the design, development, enhancement, and implementation of Guidewire solutions across our technology landscape. This position will provide technical leadership within development teams, contribute to architecture and engineering standards, and mentor emerging developers while delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. The successful candidate will have deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire Cloud technologies, a strong software engineering background, and a passion for delivering customer-focused outcomes in an Agile environment. This is a permanent full-time role based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain Guidewire solutions, ensuring scalable, high-quality, and reusable code. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions. Lead and participate in code reviews, testing, deployment activities, and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior developers and supporting the team's capability growth. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance application performance, quality, and development processes. Contribute to Agile delivery practices, including estimation, sprint planning, prioritisation, and continuous delivery activities. Support production stability through incident resolution, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring reliable application performance. Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring Strong experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (v10+). Experience in Guidewire BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles. Experience delivering software solutions through the full SDLC. Experience with CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions. Experience with source control platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in Agile delivery environments. Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform. Experience with workflow orchestration and automation within Guidewire.
