Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Tauranga. The Architect will be responsible for leading and contributing to architectural design across workplace, commercial, residential, and other project typologies, from concept through to detailed design and documentation. Day-to-day tasks include developing design concepts, producing drawings and specifications, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to understand user needs, refine design solutions, and support delivery of projects on time and within budget. The Architect will also participate in project meetings, support construction administration, and contribute to Wingates’ commitment to creating resilient, equitable, and community-focused environments. Qualifications Strong professional capability in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience across multiple project types. Comfortable with winning work from targeted sectors and cl ients Proficiency in project coordination and Project Management, including scheduling, resource planning, and stakeholder communication. Understanding of Integration between architectural design and building systems, consultants’ inputs, and regulatory requirements. Relevant tertiary qualification in architecture and eligibility for professional registration or working toward registration. Competence with industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and presentation software). Knowledge of local building codes, consent processes, and best practices for sustainable and human-centered design. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Experience in New Zealand practice and an understanding of Te Ao Māori and local context are advantageous. #J-18808-Ljbffr
