About The Role Join our team! We are looking for a skilled Hoist Driver to join our high-performing team at our busy Tauranga Depot. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with heavy machinery and wants to take their hoist operating skills to the next level by operating our 50-tonne container handlers. Previous container hoist experience is preferred, but not essential, as training will be provided. Position: Hoist Driver Location: Sulphur Point, Tauranga Hours: This is a full-time, permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 40.25 hours per week. The role operates Monday to Sunday, 6:00am to 6:00pm, on a rotating 4-on, 4-off roster, offering great work-life balance with the option to work additional hours. What You’ll Do Move containers around the yard to support ground operations as required Operate single and double-stacker container hoists, assisting with container stacking up to eight high, with a maximum rated capacity of 45,000kg Load and unload trucks and work areas as required Communicate clearly and cooperatively using RT communication Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to our Zero Harm culture What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will be punctual, reliable and have a strong work ethic. You will also be confident working around heavy machinery and enjoy being part of a busy operational team. Full NZ Class 1 licence - essential Class 2 licence - preferred, but not essential Experience driving heavy vehicles and confidence working with heavy machinery Strong commitment to health, safety and Zero Harm Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across other company sites when required Team player with the ability to work well with others Clear and confident RT communication skills Please note: A container hoist is different from a regular hoist or forklift. Training will be provided to support you in operating this machinery.
