Pou Whirinaki Pakihi | Business Manager, Strategy (Fixed Term) Our Office of the Deputy Secretary, Strategy tīma is looking for a Pou Whirinaki Pakihi | Business Manager. The Business Manager position is the source of business administration and management expertise for the Strategy puni. This is a full-time, fixed term opportunity until end of June 2027. Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity The Business Manager, Strategy is a pivotal role within the Office of the Deputy Secretary, providing expert business, operational and administrative leadership. As the central point of coordination for the office, you will oversee workflow, financial management, governance support and business operations, while managing key priorities, information flow and executive support for the Deputy Secretary Strategy. Working closely with senior leaders across the Strategy Puni, you'll help drive organisational performance, enable strategic delivery and foster strong relationships across Te Puni Kōkiri and beyond. The likely appointment range is$105,100 - $116,777 based on skills and experience. This will be pro-rated for the period of the fixed term. To be successful in this role, you will bring: Proven experience in executive administration or business support roles, providing high-quality support to senior leaders. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and workflow effectively. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, anticipating needs and taking initiative to keep operations running smoothly. Strong understanding of business processes, policies and governance requirements, with the ability to apply guidance confidently and appropriately. Excellent judgement and discernment, knowing when to escalate issues, exercise discretion and manage sensitive information. High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trusted relationships, read situations effectively and adapt your approach to different stakeholders. Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively across teams and with senior leaders.
