Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator

We're looking for an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and takes pride in ensuring our teams have the right parts, materials and equipment exactly when they're needed. What You'll Do Working alongside our engineering and manufacturing teams, you'll help keep development, production and testing moving by: Procuring electronic components, hardware, raw materials, workshop equipment and consumables. Managing purchasing transactions, company credit card reconciliations and supplier invoices. Coordinating international shipments and managing NZ Customs clearance. Receiving, inspecting and processing incoming goods. Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock takes and ensuring critical components remain available. Organising domestic and international freight for customer deliveries, testing activities and production requirements. Collecting materials from local suppliers when required. Supporting operational activities, including preparing equipment for field testing and other hands-on activities. What You’ll Bring You'll be someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to enable high-performing engineering teams. You're organised, dependable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You’ll Bring Experience in purchasing, inventory, logistics, stores or supply chain within a manufacturing, workshop or technical environment. Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail. The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining accuracy. A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to support a wide range of operational activities. A Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence. Bonus Points You’ll Stand Out If You Have Experience With Inventory management methodologies such as Kanban, Min/Max or ERP/MRP systems. Importing goods and coordinating international freight. Supporting engineering, aerospace, robotics or advanced manufacturing environments. Why SYOS?
