Portland Multipurpose Service is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Wellbeing and Lifestyle Officer to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of our residents.
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating a diverse range of lifestyle programs and activities that support the social, cultural, emotional, intellectual and spiritual wellbeing of older people living in residential care. You will work closely with residents, families and the multidisciplinary team to develop engaging, person-centred activities that reflect individual interests, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
The successful candidate will foster an inclusive and vibrant environment where residents are encouraged to participate in meaningful recreational, community, vocational and social opportunities that support quality of life, independence and personal fulfilment. Your creativity, enthusiasm and ability to build genuine relationships will be key to creating positive experiences and promoting resident engagement.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, a genuine commitment to aged care, and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. Experience in lifestyle, recreation, community services, aged care or a related field will be highly regarded.

What you will bring to the role
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer; or willingness to complete the required skills and competencies for the role.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Infection Control Practices and Work, Health and Safety.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills coupled with the ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting into completing care plans, entering progress notes and attendance records into computerised Care Management System.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
