\n We are seeking a Machine Operator & Setter to join a busy finishing division, operating and setting machinery such as slitting equipment.
This is a hands\-on role offering specific training for the right person.
\n <\/div>\n
\n The role initially involves machine operation for training purposes before progressing to a position focused on machine setting (80%) and machine operation (20%).
\n <\/div>\n
\n
\n <\/div>

Previous machine setting experience is highly desirable. However, applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.

What's involved?

    \n
  • Operating different finishing machinery, including slitting equipment
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Setting up and adjusting machines for production runs
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Monitoring machine performance and product quality
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Troubleshooting minor machine issues and making adjustments as required
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Completing machine changeovers and production documentation
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Working to production schedules and quality standards
    <\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>

    What we're looking for
    <\/h1>\n
      \n
    • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment (packaging \/ plastics beneficial)
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Machine setting experience highly desirable
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem\-solving ability
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Good attention to detail and quality focus
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Reliable (including own transportation) and able to work independently
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Physically fit (lifting ~ 20kg)
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Able to pass a drug test and criminal record check
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Right to work in New Zealand <\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>
