Job Description
The Rutherford Clinic - Wellington Central, North Island The Rutherford Clinic provides Gastroenterology and Endoscopy services to patients in the Wellington region and wider community. Gastroenterology is a specialist area of medicine that covers the diseases affecting the digestive tract, including the oesophagus, stomach, small bowel, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and large bowel. Services are provided by physicians and surgeons who represent some of the best in their field. Our physicians and surgeonsinclude experts in the fields of inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer, gastrointestinal bleeding and endoscopy.Our team of specialists work in both public and private hospitals and have expert knowledge and clinical experience in Gastroenterology and Surgical fields. We provide patient care in our new state of the art high quality, and purpose built facility. Our well-trained staff are experienced and support this provision of care to provide our community with comprehensive treatment for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disease. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this very busy hands-on role. This applicant must have experience in the health care industry. This is a full-time position and is to cover a 12mth Maternity Leave. In a typical day you will be prioritizing emails, scanning/downloading files, checking patient outcomes, sending documents to patients, GP's and other external agencies. Working with both our physicians and surgeons will require expert multitasking and excellent organisational skills. This is an exciting and challenging role and the applicant must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, thrive in a fast-paced environment , have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, excellent communication, keyboard skills and a professional helpful manner. You will also require outstanding written and verbal communication skills, be motivated, have a strong work ethic, possess a 'can do' attitude and a desire to succeedand most importantly have fun with your team while doing so! Medtech or Webpas skills are advantageous. Excellent computer skills and telephone manner are essential, as is being able to liaise with general practitioners, specialists and the wider community. Hours are anywhere between 7.00am to 6.00pm (8 hours per day) Monday to Friday with added flexibility depending on the workload. You may need to work across our 2 sites ( Thorndon and Lower Hutt ), however we will try and keep this to a minimum.
