We're searching for a seasoned Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Auckland Airport on a permanent full time basis. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse, global customer base by ensuring a seamless, memorable, and brand-aligned shopping experience. This role supports daily sales performance by actively selling and guiding others to sell in alignment with brand and business objectives. In partnership with the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager helps organise, motivate, and empower the team through clear direction, coaching, and a strong focus on operational excellence. Some of your responsibilities will include: Comply with all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices. Deliver exceptional customer engagement and confident product recommendations. Lead by example and support others in delivering a seamless shopping experience. Ensure daily retail operations are executed efficiently by self and team members. Oversee inventory levels, coordinate timely replenishment, and maintain visual merchandising in line with brand standards. Ensure promotional setups, seasonal transitions, and marketing initiatives are executed effectively. Perform and oversee opening and closing procedures, including till checks, stock levels, and store presentation. Inspire and guide team members through clear direction, and coaching for operational excellence. Undertake compliance and loss prevention initiatives. We are looking for someone with: Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven ability to drive sales. 2 years leadership in large format as department manager, or as a Store Manager in a small format role. Proven people leadership skills, including performance management and employee relations (ER) experience. A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating outstanding customer experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications. As we are a 24/7 business, the ability to work a rotating roster and public holidays is essential for this role.
