AsaAsia Pacificcentreof excellence, the MVD (Market Value Direct) team focuses on supporting clients and audit teams across the region by estimatingappropriate valuationson their financial instruments – from simple equity holdings to complex structured products. Many of PwC's clients hold financial instruments – equities, debt, derivatives, etc. The problemis,it helps to have an independent viewonthe value of these transactions. Whetherit'sestimating the valuation impact of credit risk, capturing the impact of complextermsor managing poor or non-existent input data, this can bea real challengeand that’s where clients turn to PwC's MVD team for help. As a Senior Associate in our Assurance – MVD team,you'llplay a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements while building trusted client relationships.You'lllead the planning and execution of projects, manage risks and commercial outcomes, and contribute to business development, working alongside a collaborative team to deliver meaningful results for our clients. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity,minimum of37.5 hoursper week. Your day-to-day could include: Perform valuations across a wide range of financial instruments, from straightforward tohighly complexproducts, using market data and valuation models. Manage multiple valuation engagements from planning through to delivery, ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard. Review valuation models,reportsand supporting analysis to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements. Partner with clients and audit teams to provide technical advice and support on financial instrument valuations and fair value assessments. Coach and mentor junior team members, while contributing to knowledge sharing, processimprovementsand the ongoing development of the team's valuationexpertise. Bachelor's Degree or above in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, economics, financeetc. 3+ yearsof professional experience for a financial or professional services firm. Significant understanding of financial instruments with practical experience in the valuation of derivatives. Theability to successfully deliver multiple engagements concurrently. Attention to detail and ability to self-check or check workings of others to ensure quality delivery of output and service. Knowledge of AI tools and some coding experience, such as Python, VBA or similar, with an interest in using these skills responsibly to improve workflows, support dataanalysisand enhance valuation modelling. Strong communicationskills, with an ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, in addition to being able to successfully convey engagement progress, issues rising, and observations to various stakeholders.
