Parts Interpreter & Warehouse management Vertu Equipment Ltd – Auckland, North Island Accurately identify and source parts using electronic parts catalogues (e.g., EPC, SIS, Mechanic Desk). Prepare detailed and timely parts quotations for retail customers, fleet operators, and sub-dealers. Process internal workshop parts requests and maintain coordination with service advisors and technicians. Handle parts discrepancy at goods receives and report to OEM for claims. Handle issues reported by sub-dealers, such as missing or damages, delays at logistics, also handle with returns, and non-conformance issues according to OEM procedures. Liaise with technical support and service manager for new attachments installation to sub dealer, end customers. Fleet Demographic Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and regional fleet composition (e.g., by brand, model, age, and application). To boost aftersales revenue, maintain and develop relationship with fleet manager, and use fleet insights to predict common failure parts, seasonal demand, and service cycles. Align parts stocking strategy with the operational realities of transit operators, construction contractors, logistics fleets, and public utility vehicles. Inventory & Warehouse Management: Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to streamline receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch operations. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety guidelines. Conduct regular cycle counts, stocktakes, and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock loss. Implement FIFO and ABC inventory classification to manage fast and slow-moving parts effectively. Parts Procurement: Source and order genuine / approved aftermarket parts from manufactures and suppliers Negotiate price, terms and delivery schedule with suppliers Monitor and maintain optimal inventory level. Ensure all aftermarket parts sourced meet quality and regulatory standard Manage returns or warranty claims Costs Controls and Reporting: Prepare regular reports on stock status, purchase history and vendor performance Assist in developing parts budgets and budget planning Sub-Dealer Support & Inventory Planning: Analyse sub-dealer parts usage trends and recommend minimum/maximum stocking levels based on region-specific demand. Support sub-dealers with catalogue training, quotation assistance, and order processing guidance. Coordinate stock replenishment and transfer planning between main warehouse and sub-dealer locations. Monitor sub-dealer performance and compliance with OEM stocking and reporting guidelines. Sub-dealer, key account customers consignment parts routine check, replenishment and invoice. Reporting & Monitoring: Generate and review key reports, including: Stock turnover ratio Fill rate and backorder levels Quotation conversion rate Aging and obsolete stock Sub-dealer inventory performance Requirements and Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle and heavy equipment parts (engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, electrical, body). Ability to interpret technical drawings, parts manuals, and digital catalogues (EPC, SIS, PLM). Proficient in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) Forklift operation and warehouse safety knowledge. Understanding of warehouse layout principles and logistics workflows. Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external customer interaction. Analytical and problem-solving skills for parts forecasting and data analysis. Attention to detail and accuracy in quotations and inventory management. Additional Duties: Weekly and monthly reporting Qualifications: A team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a customer-centric mindset Certificate in Automotive Technology, Parts Interpretation, Logistics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a parts interpreter or warehouse coordinator role, preferably in commercial vehicles or heavy equipment (bus, construction, truck). Valid forklift license (LF) or Operation experience Familiarity with major brands such as Yutong, SANY, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, or similar. Experience supporting sub-dealer networks is a plus. Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to communicate with service/technical teams. Working knowledge of fleet operations is a strong advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
