About the position: This is a field-based role where you will be out across the network inspecting roads, identifying defects and hazards, supporting maintenance teams, and helping deliver quality outcomes for our communities. What you will be doing: Inspect roads and infrastructure assets to identify defects, hazards, and maintenance requirements Record and report network conditions using approved systems Work closely with operational teams to prioritise and support maintenance activities Monitor completed works to ensure quality standards are achieved Respond to customer requests, incidents, and emergency events when required Build positive relationships with clients, contractors, and members of the public Why this is a great opportunity: Guaranteed 40 hours per week - consistent, reliable income (not casual or weather-dependent) 100% employer paid, Private Health insurance Supportive team that wants to see you succeed Full PPE provided What we are looking for: Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, network inspection, or a related field Understanding of road assets, defect identification, and maintenance standards Strong attention to detail, reporting skills, and ability to work independently Confident communicator with a professional approach to stakeholders Full NZ Class 1 Driver Licence (TMO/AWM experience desirable or willingness to obtain) If you enjoy being outdoors, solving problems, and playing a key role in keeping our road network safe, we’d like to hear from you.
