Job Description

Intermediate Software Engineer | 1111864 Our client Lunit International are on a massive mission: to conquer cancer through AI. Their software deploys lifesaving, AI-powered screening tools to healthcare organisations globally. We are looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to join the Wellington-based engineering team. This isn’t a standard “ship a feature and move on” role. This team is heavily focused on platform delivery and developer experience tooling. You will play a vital role in building the backend software, platform, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure that allow the global engineering pods to deploy code safely, reliably, and efficiently. What You’ll Do Code & Build: Develop robust systems using the modern Microsoft .NET C# ecosystem. Champion Automation: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to drive reliable, repeatable software delivery. Own the Infrastructure: Work closely with Azure cloud environments, containerising workloads and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions. Drive Developer Experience: Identify inefficiencies in the development lifecycle and proactively build internal tooling to streamline processes for the wider team. Collaborate Globally: Connect regularly with internal teams, including Product, Release Management, and Customer Onboarding, across New Zealand, Seoul, and North America. What You’ll Bring Lunit value attitude and a growth mindset just as much as technical skills. They want a proactive problem solver who takes end to end ownership of deliverables and naturally spots opportunities to improve how the team works. Must-Haves: 2–3 years of professional software development experience with strong .NET C# proficiency. Database Foundations: Solid experience with relational SQL databases (query writing, schema design, and performance tuning). Containers & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Docker and a strong fundamental understanding of Azure environments. CI/CD Pipelines: Practical experience building and maintaining pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps (ADO). Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with deploying Azure resources using Bicep templates and Desired State Configuration (DSC). OS Versatility: Comfortable operating and scripting across both Windows and Linux systems. Qualifications: A tertiary degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (with a computing major). Nice-to-Haves: Any background even informal or “side-of-desk” projects in platform engineering, internal tooling, or Developer Experience (DX). Previous experience working within a regulated or compliance focused industry, such as Health-Tech or FinTech. React or front-end experience Why Join Purpose-Driven Work: Use your technical engineering skills to directly contribute to global cancer-screening advancements. Career Growth: Work within a highly sophisticated, modern cloud architecture with dedicated mentorship from senior engineering leaders. Wellington-Based Hybrid Flexibility: Enjoy a balanced work environment combining premier central office space with flexible work-from-home options. Inclusive Culture: Lunit is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where every voice matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
