We're looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Trentham Military Camp in Upper Hutt. This is an opportunity to put your technical skills to work in a unique environment, helping maintain the facilities that support the people who protect and serve New Zealand. Trentham is one of NZDF's key tri-service military camps, home to a wide range of Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel. Your work will help ensure critical facilities remain safe, functional, and operational every day. As part of our Defence team, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems across the camp. Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on HVAC systems and associated mechanical plant. Servicing and replacing components such as air handling units, fan coil units, pumps, motors, valves, pipework, and controls. Installing HVAC equipment, ducting, and mechanical systems to specification. Completing planned and reactive maintenance work within agreed service timeframes. Maintaining accurate records and completing work orders. Working safely and following all Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and contractual requirements. We're keen to hear from people who are practical, safety-focused, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You will have: A full, current driver's licence. A recognised HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, or related trade qualification (Level 4 or above), a full electrical licence, or significant industry experience. Proven experience installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems. A strong commitment to Health & Safety. Alignment with Citycare Property's values and a customer-focused approach. The legal right to work in New Zealand. The ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a drug and alcohol test and criminal record check.
