Primary and intermediate (Years 1-8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher Suitable for beginning teachers If you are looking for an extraordinary, once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of the foundation team creating our dynamic, engaging Year 7 and 8 Technology Hub, then come and join the Te Rau Horopito technology adventure! We are looking to appoint a number of dedicated kaiako (technology) with passion and skills for one or more of the following areas: hard materials, textiles, science, arts, food and nutrition, and digital technologies. Our mission: To empower ākonga to solve real-world problems through hands-on design, building strong foundations in Year 7 and driving independent creativity in Year 8. Te Rau Horopito was opened at the start of 2026 in Tauwharekākaho | Rolleston. Our brand new technology hub is currently being built and will be completed ready to open at the start of 2027. The hub is being built to cater for up to 800 ākonga per week. The successful applicants will begin their roles in Term 1, 2027. As a kaiako (technology), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our curriculum, crafting purposeful and engaging learning experiences that inspire ākonga to explore the vast possibilities of technology.
