Job Description

AMV Group is a large, high-growth nicotine-replacement products group in Australasia, operating across wholesale distribution and retail channels. With deep industry expertise, vertically integrated capabilities, and a strong leadership team, we're accelerating Australasia's transition from combustible cigarettes to world-leading harm-reductive nicotine products. Our market leadership spans 5,500+ retail outlets across New Zealand and Australia, supported by established brands, robust supply chain capabilities, and data-driven consumer insights. The Role We're looking for a versatile, autonomous Intermediate Graphic Designer to join our creative team. Bridging the gap between creative concept and commercial execution, you will take ownership of day-to-day design projects while collaborating closely with our Head of Brand and Creative and the broader Brand & Digital team. This is a role for a proven designer who thrives on autonomy, takes ownership of real projects from start to finish, and would rather act, execute, and adjust than wait around for creative approval. What You'll Be Doing End-to-End Execution: Take design briefs from initial concept through to final, print-ready or digital-ready artwork. Brand Guardianship: Maintain and protect all brand guidelines while finding creative ways to push the brand forward across retail and wholesale touch points. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, marketers, and developers to produce cohesive campaigns across social, web, print, and email channels. Creative Presentation: Present design concepts to internal stakeholders, clearly articulating the strategic reasoning behind your creative decisions. Process & Timeline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, proactively communicating timelines and consistently delivering high-quality work on deadline. What You'll Bring Experience: 3 - 5 years of professional design experience within an agency or fast-paced in-house environment. A Commercial Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of real-world, commercial projects (demonstrating execution beyond student or speculative work). Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop). Core Design Fundamentals: Deep, practical understanding of typography, colour theory, grid systems, and layout principles. Pre-Press & Digital Savvy: Solid hands-on knowledge of file preparation for both commercial print production and digital platforms. Autonomous Mindset: The confidence to manage your workload independently and drive projects over the finish line. Nice-to-Haves Experience with Figma. Motion graphics or basic video editing skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro). Experience with basic HTML/CSS or email design platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp). Why Join AMV Group? People-First Culture: Join a collaborative, people-first team that genuinely champions the specialists powering our success from within. Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a flexible, high-impact culture designed for those seeking a meaningful career without sacrificing true work-life harmony. Disrupt the Market: Embed yourself in a high-growth powerhouse that is disrupting the status quo across the ANZ landscape. Modern Auckland Hub: Collaborate in a contemporary Auckland office alongside a motivated squad that finds real value in being in the office. Shape Our Culture: Take direct ownership of your role by helping to cultivate and define our vibrant, high-performance internal culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
