We are looking for a caring and reliable individual to join a dedicated team in Wigram, providing high-quality care in a supportive environment. Location: Wigram, Christchurch Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm Key Responsibilities Provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living with dementia. Assist with personal cares including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support residents with mobility and safe transfers. Assist with meal service, feeding, and hydration where required. Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any changes or concerns. Encourage participation in activities that promote independence and quality of life. Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans. Adhere to all health and safety, infection control, and dementia care best practices. What We're Looking For Previous experience working in dementia care is essential. Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to caring for others. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Reliable and committed to providing exceptional care. Own reliable transport is desirable. A valid First Aid Certificate is an advantage. Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Must disclose any criminal convictions.
