Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore Job Description The Signature Research Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) aims to pioneer our understanding of emerging infections through world-class research that integrates immunology, infection biology, pathogen genomics, and computational approaches. This integration drives comprehensive studies of host-pathogen interactions across molecular, individual, and population scales to address emerging health challenges. The selected candidate will perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organising and conducting research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following: - Plan, conduct, and analyse experiments independently and collaboratively. Record, monitor, and report research findings precisely. Process, document, and manage clinical samples with accurate inventory and traceability. Assist senior researchers with ongoing laboratory projects and operations. Maintain good laboratory practices and adhere to safety regulations. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline. Have relevant research experience is desirable but not mandatory. Strong interest in infectious diseases, virology and immunology. Highly motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse research environment. Able to work independently while being responsible, detail-oriented, and organised.
