Te Kaika is a purpose-driven kaupapa Māori organisation dedicated to providing integrated health, social, and educational services. We are seeking a compassionate Qualified AOD Clinician to join our dedicated team at Te Whare, our community-based Alcohol and Other Drug Addiction Support Service. Delivering care through an inclusionary harm reduction lens and Māori-centred models of relational care, you will walk alongside whaiora (clients) and their whānau on their journey toward healing and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities – Facilitate comprehensive AOD clinical assessments and collaborate with whaiora to develop relational, tailored treatment plans. – Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed individual counselling and facilitate therapeutic group programmes. – Provide holistic case management and coordinate seamless wrap-around support within the wider Te Kāika Dunedin Wellbeing Hub. – Maintain accurate, secure, and professional clinical documentation in accordance with sector standards. – Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, peer support, and clinical reviews. What You Bring (Essential Requirements) – Qualifications: A tertiary degree in Alcohol and Drugs (AOD) or related. – Registrations: Current professional registration (or immediate eligibility) (e.g.,DAPAANZ, NZAC). – Cultural Competency: A strong understanding of Māori health models (such as Te Whare Tapa Whā) and a genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. – Experience: Proven experience working in the addictions or mental health sector, delivering therapeutic interventions with strong boundary-setting. – Compliance: A full, clean NZ driver’s licence and the ability to clear NZ Police vetting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
