Funeral Director Assistant

Haven Falls – Wainuiomata, North Island Haven Falls - Poutama Tangihanga are seeking an Assistant Funeral Director to assist our kaimahi team in all aspects of their daily mahi at Haven Falls - Poutama Tangihanga ki Wellington. Responsibilities of this role will include the following; Transportation of tūpāpaku, from Mortuary, Hospitals and Coroners etc Casket preparation Vehicle / Fleet maintenance and coordination, liaising with external suppliers Preparation of media material, tributes, presentations and service booklets General and varied awhi of team members General maintenance of whare and liaising with external suppliers Stock takes, orders and purchasing General cleaning, set up, and pack down as required on-site On call after 5.00pm and the weekend on a fortnightly basis Potential candidates must have the following Full drivers license or pending transition from restricted High level of professionalism and personal presentation Reasonable level of competency with Microsoft Office, Email, Word and Excel Ability to travel between Haven Falls sites as required Excellent time management and communication skills Working hours of 8.30 am - to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday however some flexibility would be required due to the nature of our mahi. Alongside this, the position will be rostered alternate weeks and weekends on-call. Would suit entry-level pending license requirements and level of professionalism can be met.
