DJ auto vehicle importer – Christchurch, South Island DJ auto vehicle importer is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Car Yard Assistants to join our team in Christchurch Central, Canterbury. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining our vehicle yard operations and delivering exceptional customer service. As a Car Yard Assistant, you will be at the forefront of our business, ensuring our vehicles are presented in excellent condition and that every customer receives a welcoming and professional experience. This position is essential to our daily operations and directly contributes to the success and reputation of DJ auto vehicle importer. What you'll be doing Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle yard, ensuring all vehicles are presented to the highest standard Assisting with vehicle preparation, including washing, detailing, and minor cleaning tasks Supporting the sales team by providing information about vehicle stock and specifications to customers Managing vehicle parking and yard layout to maximise space and accessibility Conducting basic vehicle inspections and documenting any damage or maintenance requirements Assisting with administrative tasks, including yard records and vehicle documentation Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors to the yard Supporting the team with general yard duties and special projects as required What we’re looking for Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is highly desirable Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanour Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks such as cleaning and vehicle preparation Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic Basic knowledge of vehicles or a willingness to learn about automotive products A valid driver's licence is preferred Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and yard requirements What we offer We believe in creating a positive and supportive workplace where our team members can thrive.
