New Zealand Defence Force – Wellington Central, North Island As the Office Manager within New Zealand Defence Intelligence (NZDI), you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Defence Intelligence (CDI) and senior leadership team. Working in a fast-paced and highly professional environment, you'll ensure the smooth coordination of executive workflows, maintain effective business operations, and provide trusted support across a range of administrative and organisational functions. This is a varied and rewarding position where your ability to stay organised, anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships will be highly valued. You'll act as a key point of coordination for senior leaders, helping them focus on delivering strategic outcomes while ensuring day-to-day activities run seamlessly. Key responsibilities include: Provide high-quality executive and administrative support to senior leaders. Coordinate schedules, meetings, travel, and correspondence professionally. Ensure information and resources are available to support decisions. Manage administrative processes to maintain organisational efficiency. Build effective stakeholder relationships and handle information discreetly. The Office Manager is responsible for providing executive organisational and workflow support to the Chief Defence Intelligence and New Zealand Defence Intelligent Directors, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely, effective and professional manner, whilst facilitating the needs of the business. Provide timely, professional administrative support to Chief Defence Intelligence and Directors Ensure information is available and administrative tasks are completed promptly The salary band for this role starts at $77,141 with a midpoint of $85,594 inclusive of a 4% superannuation contribution. Please Note: The formal title for this role within NZDF is Office Manager NZDI. Please note: As this role requires a high level of security clearance, you will need to be / have been a NZ, UK, Australian, Canadian or USA citizen for a minimum of 15 years to be eligible for this role. The successful candidate is required to undergo a psychological assessment as part of the pre-employment security vetting process. Here’s what you need to know: Higher Level Security Clearance You must be a New Zealand Citizen for at least the last ten (10) years. At minimum, you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence or have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, and you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last ten (10) years. To obtain this level of clearance, you must have a background history of fifteen (15) years that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
