We invite all registered and enrolled nurse applicants to a part-time position of 24 hours per week, with possibility of increasing to full time when one of our long-standing nurses retires at the end of October. We are currently requiring someone Mon and Tues (full days) as well afternoons Wed and Friday, with occasional availability for leave cover when needed. Start date as soon as available. You will be joining our team of 5 Registered Nurses who job-share covering 3.0 FTE position. Practice nursing experience is preferred but we are willing to look at all experience levels to get the right person for our team. Pay rates are according to your experience level. You will be well supported by our team of 6 Doctors, 3 Receptionists and a Practice Manager, and will be joining our existing very experienced and skilled nursing team. Job tasks and responsibilities You will be providing the full range of Practice Nurse services such as: Immunisations Medical Investigations (eg. ECG taking) Cervical Smear services (Training available if required) Chronic Disease Management (one on one with at risk patients) Assisting with Minor Surgery Venipuncture and cannulation (Training available) Telephone Triage You will need to know the limits of your clinical skills and know when to act and when to ask. We will push you to expand your role in primary care, seeking to help you develop your skill and knowledge base. We will provide you with an education grant on top of salary to support your educational needs. Skills and experience You will need to have a current New Zealand valid practicing certificate. You will need to have the right to work in New Zealand without the need for added immigration requirements. Experienced practice nurses as well as authorised vaccinators will be priority shortlisted. You will need to have a clean criminal record and a current New Zealand Driver's license. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a New Zealand Police vetting process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
