Community Mental Health Nurse For Kapiti District North Island - Wellington – Wellington, North Island Contract: PermanentFull Time (1.0 FTE) Mon-Fri 0830-1700hrs Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora isfirmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated toserving all New Zealanders. About the Role As a Community mental health nurse you will beworking with the MDT consisting of Psychiatrists, Psychologist, RegisteredNurses, Social worker and Admin staff. You will be allocated a caseload ofclients who you will manage autonomously with the support of the MDT. Your dayswill be varied, and you will need to be flexible and be able to prioritise yourcaseload. You will have to respond to acute situations and manage these withthe team support. You will be required to ensure that you manage the KPIs ofthe service. You will develop interface with other services and the localNGO's. You will be required to ensureyour clinical practice is up to date with willingness to continue witheducation. About theTeam/Service Location We are an adult community mental health team covering theKapiti district, from Paekakariki to Peka Peka. We are an experienced team andmade up of Psychiatrists, Psychologist, Mental health nurses, Social Worker andan Admin team. We welcome students and NESPs to our team. We see the population with moderate - severe mental illnessand work closely with many different services. Our psychologist and otherclinicians runs Psychology workshops on base for our service users who wouldbenefit from this. We work closely with NGO's in the area and have a Respitehouse close by for our clients to use when appropriate. We are based alongside the Kapiti Health Centre, close topublic transport and have free parking. With Transmission Gully close by, weare only a short drive from Porirua and Wellington. About you You willhave some post registration experience. You willbe able to role model excellent care and practice .
