Senior Systems Engineer / Packager

Find Recruitment – Wellington, North Island We're looking for a highly technical Senior Systems Engineer / Applications Packager to join one of New Zealand's largest Windows 11 transformation programmes. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale enterprise deployment, working within a specialist packaging team responsible for ensuring business-critical applications are successfully remediated, packaged and deployed as part of a nationwide Windows 11 rollout. This is far more than a BAU packaging role. You'll be the technical escalation point for complex packaging and deployment issues, collaborating with engineers across the programme to troubleshoot, design solutions and drive continuous improvement. What you'll be doing Acting as the senior technical escalation point for application packaging issues. Packaging, remediating and deploying applications for Windows 11. Troubleshooting complex application compatibility and deployment challenges. Developing automated solutions using PowerShell. Working closely with deployment teams to provide technical guidance and feedback. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across packaging and deployment processes. Supporting enterprise-scale endpoint management and modern device management initiatives. What we’re looking for You'll be an experienced senior engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems and working in complex enterprise environments. You'll ideally bring experience with: Microsoft Intune Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration programmes Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager) PowerShell scripting and automation Enterprise application packaging and deployment You'll likely have worked previously as a: Senior Systems Engineer Senior Technical Consultant Senior End User Computing Engineer Senior Software Engineer (with endpoint management experience) Technical Lead Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively within a delivery team, sharing knowledge and helping solve technical challenges as they arise.
