The Recruitment Network – Christchurch, South Island Are you an experienced Kitchen Hand looking for flexible work with a variety of employers across Christchurch? The Recruitment Network is one of New Zealand's leading hospitality recruitment agencies, and we're looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Hands to join our casual team. We have shifts available seven days a week across a wide range of hospitality and healthcare environments, with a particular need for people who are available for morning and evening shifts. Whether you're looking to supplement your current income, gain experience across different kitchens, or enjoy the flexibility of casual work, we'd love to hear from you. Where You'll Work Our Kitchen Hands work across a variety of clients, including: Hospitals Aged care and retirement villages Schools and education facilities Cafés and restaurants Catering companies Hotels and event venues Every shift can be different, giving you the opportunity to build experience in a range of commercial kitchens. What You'll Be Doing Duties may include: Dishwashing using commercial dishwashers Hand washing pots, pans and kitchen equipment General kitchen cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards Food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks Receiving and storing deliveries Stock rotation and maintaining clean storage areas Rubbish and recycling management Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards Supporting the kitchen team wherever required What We're Looking For To be successful, you'll ideally have: Previous Kitchen Hand experience in a commercial kitchen A positive attitude and strong work ethic The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team High standards of cleanliness and food safety Reliability and punctuality Availability to work casual shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends Your own reliable vehicle and driver's licence, allowing you to travel to different sites across Christchurch. Experience working in hospitals, rest homes, hotels, cafés or busy restaurants.
