Due to an internal vacancy, we are seeking a Sales Representative to join our team in the Lower North Island region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the purpose of this role is to raise awareness of the SVS wholesale business, increase sales and profitability, and develop and maintain key customer relationships. This role is responsible for developing relationships with both existing and newly acquired customers. The position offers a high level of autonomy while being well supported by your Manager and the wider SVS team. Key responsibilities include: Assisting veterinary clinics in providing a better service to their clients while enhancing customer loyalty to SVS. Developing and maintaining extensive knowledge of SVS veterinary products. Building effective relationships with the Call Centre and Distribution Centre teams for the benefit of both customers and SVS. Achieving agreed sales targets within specified timeframes. Working collaboratively as part of the wider SVS team and supporting colleagues when required. Ensuring administration is accurate and up to date to prevent delays for customers. Participating in and complying with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and all associated company policies and procedures. To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous sales experience, ideally within the veterinary or agricultural sectors. Proven experience in achieving sales targets and establishing and maintaining strong business relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport. Strong technical competence and a willingness to develop your product knowledge. The ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, and manage your workload with strong organisational skills.
