About the role Our dedicated Kitchen team at our Gulf Rise Village based in Red Beach on the Hibiscus Coast, Northwest Auckland, are looking for a talented and reliable Cook to join them on a part time basis, delivering excellent service to our residents. You will be experienced and reliable, with the ability to work as part of a supportive team. Shifts available are 10 hours per week - Sat/Sun 9 - 2:30pm Key responsibilities will include: Ensures meals are prepared to a high quality, in a timely manner, and are presented attractively, in line with the agreed menus. Undertakes all food production and preparation for the café, including cabinet foods and a la carte dining options. Ensures food preparation is compliant with agreed food cost budget Nutritional standards or dietary requirements are always actively addressed in special menu design. About you You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person; excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate fashion; and an industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.
