Job Description
– Queenstown-Lakes District, South Island We are seeking a reliable and organised Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-daymanagement of our taxi fleet operating across Otago. The successful candidate willbe responsible for ensuring the fleet is well maintained, compliant with regulatoryrequirements, and available to meet customer demand. This role requires strongorganisational, administrative, and communication skills to support efficient transportoperations. Key Responsibilities Organise the purchase, servicing, maintenance, and replacement of fleet vehicles, equipment, and fuel supplies. Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, registrations, insurance, and compliance with all applicable transport regulations. Receive transport bookings, allocate vehicles efficiently, and assist with planning daily transport schedules. Liaise with customers to understand transport requirements, provide information about services, and resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally. Arrange the collection and delivery of vehicles for servicing, repairs, registration, or other operational requirements. Maintain accurate business records, fleet maintenance logs, operational reports, and other administrative documentation. Monitor vehicle availability and ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and company policies. Coordinate with drivers to support efficient fleet operations and maintain high service standards. Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency, reduce operating costs, and maximise vehicle utilisation. May be required to support the staff as and when required Skills and Experience Must hold a minimum Diploma qualification OR at least two years of relevant work experience Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Good record-keeping and computer skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
