Part-Time Social Media & Content Creator

Part-Time Social Media & Content Creator Battery Bill is looking for a creative and reliable student to help produce engaging social media content for our automotive battery business. This is a flexible, part-time role suited to someone studying marketing, communications, digital media, film, design or content creation. You will gain practical experience creating real content for an established Auckland business. The role will involve a mixture of on-site filming at our East Tamaki premises and remote editing and planning. Key responsibilities include: Filming short-form video content using a phone or camera Photographing products, vehicles, staff and day-to-day business activity Editing content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok Adding captions, subtitles, music and basic graphics Writing simple and engaging social media captions Helping plan and maintain a weekly content schedule Creating behind-the-scenes, educational and promotional content Reviewing basic content performance and engagement We expect the role to be approximately 8–10 hours per week initially. Hours can be flexible around study commitments, although the successful applicant must be available to attend our East Tamaki premises regularly for filming. You do not need to know anything about batteries or the automotive industry. We will provide the technical information and content direction. We are looking for someone who knows how to turn that information into engaging and watchable content. The ideal applicant will: Be confident filming and editing short-form videos Understand Instagram Reels, TikTok and Facebook content Have experience using CapCut, Canva, Adobe software or similar tools Be creative, reliable and comfortable working independently Have good written communication skills Be willing to appear on camera occasionally, although this is not essential Have reliable transport to East Tamaki Please include links or examples of content you have personally filmed, edited or created with your application.
