Overview We have an exciting opportunity to join the Sport and Recreation teaching team at NorthTec Tai Tokerau Wānanga on a fixed-term basis to deliver ACE programmes in the Tai Tokerau. This is a fixed-term, 0.3 FTE (11.25 hours per week) position responsible for programme development and delivery between August and November 2026. In this role, you will be engaging with community to enhance engagement and participation through teaching basic skills within the practice of Sport and Recreation. This role is based at our Raumanga Campus, however ability/flexibility to travel to other sites within the region may be required to support programme delivery. Skills, Experience and Attributes A relevant qualification higher than Level 4 with have some experience facilitating teaching and learning Have the ability to develop and maintain relationships that allow our akonga to thrive Have a demonstrated commitment in upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice Participate in activities that benefit colleagues and NorthTec as a whole Have previous adult teaching experience (an advantage) Nine weeks annual leave (pro rata for part-time employment) Professional development opportunities, where applicable A supportive professional team To be considered for this position, applicants must be a NZ Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident.
