Job Description
Reporting to the Practice Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for managing the firm's financial administration while overseeing its AML/CFT compliance programme. This varied role requires excellent organisational skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Accounts Administration Manage accounts payable and receivable. Complete accounts through to trial balance. Maintain debtor reporting and debt recovery processes. Oversee trust account administration and ensure compliance with Law Society requirements. Process banking transactions and bank reconciliations. Maintain the fixed asset register. Prepare and file PAYE, GST, RWT and FBT returns. Process fortnightly payroll and directors' payments. Prepare Law Society reporting and support audits. Assist staff with billing, settlements and accounts-related processes. AML Compliance Act as the firm's AML Compliance Officer. Maintain and develop the AML/CFT Compliance Programme. Manage client due diligence (CDD) and risk assessments. Oversee the AML compliance platform. Monitor regulatory compliance and legislative updates. Coordinate internal audits and external compliance reviews. Investigate suspicious activity where required.Deliver AML training and maintain staff training records. Promote best practice across the firm. About You Experience in accounting or legal accounts administration. Knowledge of trust accounting (preferred). Strong understanding of AML/CFT legislation and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High levels of integrity and confidentiality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, adaptable and positive attitude. Confidence using accounting software and Microsoft Office. #J-18808-Ljbffr
